Wood Lake Facilities
In 1933, a vision of "gathering the youth for a week of spiritual fellowship together with outdoor activities" came to fruition on the north shores of Wood Lake as Wood Lake Baptist Assembly Camp held its first week of summer youth camp.
Land on the southwest end of the lake was purchased in 1937 to create a permanent camp facility, with the first buildings being erected the following year. The camp opened on August 8, 1938, and hosted 130 young people that week.
Over the years, more buildings and property were added, and the camp now includes 25 buildings and 234 acres of scenic woodland and field area along Wood Lake.
